MY STORY
My name is Ilman, I’m 36 years old and I come from Nias Island in North Sumatra, Indonesia, one of the world’s most well-known surf destinations.
I started surfing when I was 9 years old, growing up in the ocean and spending most of my time in the water. Surfing has always been a big part of my life, and over the years I developed a deep understanding of the waves and the ocean.
Since 2017, I have been teaching surfing in Bali and have over 10 years of experience working with surfers from all around the world. I enjoy helping beginners catch their first waves and supporting intermediate and advanced surfers to improve their skills and confidence.
My teaching style is friendly, patient, and focused on safety, while making sure you have fun in the water. I always keep a close eye on the details and give positive feedback to help you improve. Whether it’s your first time or you want to take your surfing to the next level, I’m here to help you enjoy the experience and progress step by step.

With over 10 years of experience, I guide surfers of all levels. I focus on clear instruction, safety and helping you progress fast while having fun.

I teach at Batu Bolong in Canggu, one of Bali's best surf spots. Meet me at Warung Alody Canggu.
